Your stroke problem may not be the same as everyone else’s.

Stroke Analysis & Correction for Swimmers Who Want to be Better

For swimmers aged 7+ who can already swim the stroke they want to improve.

For young competitive swimmers in Singapore who train hard but are not dropping time, the problem is usually not effort. It is often one main technical issue — body position, breathing timing, catch, kick rhythm, turns, or how the stroke changes under speed.

Stroke Analysis and Optimization

For swimmers aged 7+ who can already swim the stroke they want to improve.

This is focused technical coaching for swimmers who need clearer correction, not just more laps. We identify the main stroke or race-skill priority, explain what is happening, and give the swimmer practical corrections they can bring back into training.

Built Around the Swimmer in Front of Me

Tailored For All Swimmers

Every swimmer has a different limiter. Some need better body position. Some need cleaner timing. Some need to understand why their stroke changes when they get tired or race under pressure.

The goal is not to copy a perfect-looking stroke. The goal is to identify what is holding this swimmer back now, then give a correction they can understand, practise, and repeat.

More Than Just a Stroke Fix

Technique matters, but swimmers also need to know how to carry the correction into training and racing. That means understanding the cue, staying calm when speed increases, and knowing what to focus on when the set gets hard.

For younger swimmers, I also keep parents clear on what we worked on, why it matters, and what the swimmer should keep practising after the session.

My Methodology for  Stroke Analysis and Correction

1) Assessment:

We start by looking at how the swimmer currently moves in the water — body position, timing, breathing, catch, kick, turns, starts, and how technique holds under speed.

  1. 3) Implementation:

  2. Once the main limiter is clear, I give the swimmer a focused correction using simple cues, drills, and feedback they can actually feel.

2) Correction:

Once the main limiter is clear, I give the swimmer a focused correction using simple cues, drills, and feedback they can actually feel.

I was under Danny for a few weeks including a training camp in Brisbane. I was not only inspired to train harder under him, but also felt assured my training was in good hands. He had just retired from swimming competitively itself n started his coaching career. He was able to relate to us swimmers very well and understand our training needs. What I enjoy training under Danny is that he is very committed and would go the extra mile to correct your stroke. :))
